Maze For 2

I wanted to make this game for a friend who, in middle school, would solve the mazes I drew on the whiteboard in the morning. I was inspired by the game 20 Small Mazes, in which the space of a maze is used many times in combination with other mechanics such as Sokoban puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and hidden word puzzles. This prototype is my attempt at a different spin on the maze mechanic. The design of having two pieces/avatars with interconnected fate would push the player to think about how to maneuver a tight space with implicit restrictions on direction, how to set one piece in a space that will allow the other piece to progress.
