Among Kelp
I wanted to make this game after watching the documentary “My Octopus Teacher“. The level of intelligence possessed by an octupus put me in awe. I realized that humans have much in common with this intelligent creature; although we do not have many physical advantages, we are able to use our intelligence to navigate the world and thrive. It would be nice if I could make a game to allow people to understand this similarity and maybe even empathize with these wise animals.
The Octopus and its Ecosystem
Not unlike humans, octopi need to learn to interact with the world around them in a variety of different ways, coming up with different strategies for each species of prey and enemy. This process of learning involves expirimentation, exploration, problem solving and connection making.
